TikTok Shop’s launch in Belgium gives sellers a new route into the European social commerce market.
For mid-market and enterprise businesses, this can create new growth. But it can also put pressure on existing workflows. Product catalogs need to be ready for another channel. Stock levels must stay accurate. Orders need to move into the right systems. Teams also need to follow TikTok Shop’s rules without slowing down daily operations.
Belgium became part of TikTok Shop’s European network on 15 June 2026. New sellers who haven’t opened an account yet can start with registration and use 20 free days to prepare their shop before selling begins.
This guide covers the key details sellers should know before launch, so your team can enter TikTok Shop Belgium with fewer surprises.
What Sells on TikTok in Belgium
TikTok Shop is discovery-first – products get found through video and live sessions, not search.
- Beauty & skincare – results are visible in short-form video; consistently tops TikTok Shop’s EU performance data.
- Fashion & apparel – Belgium’s #1 online category; use metric sizing (cm/kg).
- Home gadgets & accessories – Belgian buyers are pragmatic; “does it work?” content converts.
- Food & beverages – Strong TikTok traction, but restricted from the Sell Across EU cross-listing tool; requires separate listing per market.
Steps to Register as a Seller on TikTok Shop Belgium
TikTok Shop Belgium follows the same EU seller framework already running in Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. The registration process is through the TikTok Shop Seller Center.
Step 1. Create your seller account
Go to the TikTok Shop Seller Center and sign up using your business email or phone number. Each account requires a unique contact method – one email or phone number per seller account. Use your business contact details from the start, not a personal email you might repurpose later.
💡You can use the TikTok Shop EU Seller Onboarding Guide for detailed instructions.
Step 2. Select your business type
Under TikTok Shop EU rules, sellers register either as Sole Traders or Legal Entities.
- Privately-owned business. A registered company that is owned privately and managed by its owners or appointed directors.
- Publicly-listed business. A company whose ownership is divided into shares that are listed and traded on a public stock exchange.
Step 3. Verify your identity and submit docs
Document mismatches are the most common reason for delays, so make sure your company name, address, tax number, and bank details are consistent across all files.
Standard requirements for Belgian business sellers:
- Government-issued ID for the business owner or authorized representative (passport, Belgian national ID card, or permanent residence permit)
- Proof of address – utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months
- Registration number – Belgium’s official business registry number
- Business bank account details under the same registered legal name
- Authorized representative details (full name, title, role)
- UBO information for legal entities – anyone owning 25% or more of the company
Make sure all documents are clear, current, and consistent. Blurry scans or mismatched names are the most common cause of registration delays.
Step 4. Enter your business information
Enter your registered business name and registration number exactly as they appear on your official trade documents. You’ll also need to provide a complaint address – a valid, physical EU address that will appear publicly on your TikTok Shop profile. This is a legal requirement for selling in the EU.
Belgium has three official languages (Dutch, French, and German), so if you’re targeting both Flemish and Walloon customers, consider how your shop name and storefront copy reads in both Dutch and French.
Step 5. Set up your storefront
Configure your shop details:
- Shop name – distinctive, brand-consistent, will be visible in TikTok Shop
- Brand logo – clean image that works at small sizes
- Customer service email and phone number – Belgian consumers value accessible support
- Return address – must be a valid address; a Belgian return address significantly improves buyer confidence
- Warehouse address – where your inventory is stored
- Shipping settings and carrier selection
Once you’ve reviewed everything, submit your application. Review times may vary. Sellers should avoid making launch plans until their TikTok Shop account has been verified and approved.
Step 6. Disclose Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs)
If you’re registering as a legal entity, TikTok requires full disclosure of all Ultimate Beneficial Owners – individuals who ultimately own or control the business. This is standard EU anti-money laundering compliance.
A UBO is typically anyone who directly or indirectly holds 25% or more of company shares or voting rights. For each UBO, prepare:
- Full legal name, date of birth, and nationality
- Residential address
- ID document type, number, and expiry date
- Proof of ownership or control (shareholder agreements, business registry extracts, etc.)
What Happens During the New Shop Probation Period?
All newly onboarded TikTok Shop sellers in Belgium go through a New Shop Probation period.
During this time, TikTok Shop may apply limits to daily orders and product uploads. For sellers using Sell Across EU, these limits apply across all active EU shops together, not separately by market.
TikTok Shop also monitors key performance metrics across active EU shops, including Seller Fault Cancellation Rate (SFCR), Seller-Fault Return/Refund Rate (SFRR), and Order Negative Review Rate (ONRR).
Once the graduation criteria are met across the seller’s active EU shops, the shops graduate from probation together. Onboarding days are counted from the source shop’s start date, so sellers should plan their first catalog, stock, and fulfillment setup with these limits in mind.

Compliance Requirements for Belgium
Before listing products on TikTok Shop Belgium, check the rules that can affect taxes, product approval, packaging, and buyer rights. These points are much easier to fix before orders start coming in.
Check your VAT setup
Belgium’s standard VAT rate is 21%.
You may need Belgian VAT registration if you:
- store inventory in Belgium;
- exceed the €10,000 EU distance selling threshold.
If you sell across several EU markets, the One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme can help you report VAT in one place. Still, sellers are responsible for checking which VAT rules apply to their business.
Register for packaging EPR
Belgium has EPR rules for packaging. They apply to sellers that place packaged goods on the Belgian market, including sellers based outside Belgium.
You may need to register, report packaging weight and materials, and pay related fees. Annual declarations are due by 28 February.
Add GPSR safety details
Most non-food consumer products sold in the EU must follow GPSR rules.
Before your listings go live, prepare:
- EU-based Responsible Person details;
- manufacturer details;
- product safety information;
- language versions for cross-border listings.
These details should be added in TikTok Shop Seller Center before listing approval.
Prepare DAC7 tax information
Under DAC7, TikTok Shop may collect and report seller income data once your shop reaches the reporting threshold.
Sellers may need to provide extra business, tax, and income details.
Localize labels and buyer information
Product labels and instructions must be clear for Belgian buyers. Depending on the region, this may mean using Dutch, French, or German.
Sellers must also provide:
- a 14-day EU withdrawal right for eligible products;
- clear business details;
- a valid EU complaint address on the shop profile.
Shipping and Fulfillment Rules for Belgium
Shipping on TikTok Shop Belgium depends on where your stock is stored and where the order is going.
Fulfillment options
- 4PL: you store and pack. TikTok Shop manages carrier delivery.
- 3PL: you manage storage, packing, shipping, tracking, and support.
- FBT: TikTok handles storage, shipping, and returns through selected EU warehouses.
For Belgium:
- local Belgium orders use 3PL and need manual setup;
- Intra-EU orders can use 4PL where supported;
- FBT should be checked in Seller Center before you plan around it.
Before selling, add your warehouse in Logistic → Warehouses. Then check shipping methods, create shipping templates if needed, and link them to the correct warehouse.
For 4PL, you can use:
- Drop-off: bring parcels to a courier point.
- Pickup: let the courier collect parcels from your warehouse, if approved.
Set up returns before launch. Your return address must accept parcels from Belgian buyers.
To expand from Belgium, use Sell Across EU. Before syncing listings, add multilingual Responsible Person and manufacturer details, choose shared or independent stock, and list restricted categories separately where needed.
Managing Product Listings at Scale: M2E Cloud
For sellers already operating across Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Ecwid, or Shopware, uploading and managing a full catalog manually on TikTok Shop is a significant operational challenge – especially when TikTok Shop has its own category structures, compliance attribute requirements, and GPSR fields.

For over 18 years, sellers have used M2E Cloud to manage marketplace growth. Now, you can connect your store to TikTok Shop and keep daily operations synced from one place.
What it handles:
- Real-time inventory sync across all connected channels, reducing overselling and manual quantity updates – critical when running shared stock across TikTok Shop and other marketplaces
- Centralized product data management with flexible mapping to TikTok Shop’s required fields and category taxonomy, without re-entering data per channel
- Order and tracking sync – orders from TikTok Shop flow into your unified workflow; tracking details sync back to TikTok Shop automatically
- Channel-specific pricing rules – set different pricing logic per market without touching your core store data
- GPSR and compliance attribute mapping – the TikTok Shop Listing Validator Assistant checks your listing data before submission and flags missing GPSR data, manufacturer details, Responsible Person records, or invalid category mappings before anything goes live
- Multi-market ready – the same M2E setup scales as you expand across EU markets, with no need to rebuild your catalog from scratch
For sellers managing hundreds or thousands of SKUs across Belgium and other EU markets, M2E Multichannel Connect provides the highly customizable, powerful infrastructure that makes multichannel scaling manageable – without the operational overhead of manual updates across every channel and country.
Creator Partnerships and Affiliate Marketing
TikTok Shop is not only a marketplace for listing products. It is also a content channel where creators can help buyers discover what you sell.
There are two main collaboration options:
- Open Collaboration: make products available to qualified creators who can apply to promote them.
- Target Collaboration: invite selected creators that match your brand, audience, or product line.
After listing your products, turn on Auto-add new products in Affiliate Center where relevant. This can help new products move into Open Collaboration automatically.
For Belgium, build creator campaigns around language and audience. Dutch-speaking and French-speaking creators may not reach the same buyers.
Seller Center reports can help your team see which creators, products, videos, and LIVE sessions lead to revenue.
TikTok Shop Commission Fees
TikTok Shop takes a commission from completed orders. The fee comes from your order settlement and is calculated after refunds.
Main EU rates:
- 9% standard rate;
- 7% for selected categories;
- 4% for eligible new sellers in the first 60 days.
Reduced rates do not stack. The new seller rate applies first, and the category rate can apply after the new seller period ends.
Commission includes applicable taxes, including VAT. Full returns also refund the full commission.
💡 For a full fee breakdown, read the M2E guide to TikTok Shop commission fees for EU sellers.
Ready to Start?
TikTok Shop launched in Belgium on 15 June 2026. Seller registration has been open since 1 June. The window to get set up before the first wave of local competition is right now.
Sort your compliance – VAT registration, EPR with Fost Plus, GPSR Responsible Person details – before you list. Make sure your product titles and descriptions work in both Dutch and French. Set up your return process with a valid Belgian return address.
If you’re running a catalog across multiple channels, connect M2E Cloud before launch day. The setup pays off immediately: real-time inventory sync, centralized product data, automatic order handling, and a compliance layer that catches listing issues before they become launch blockers.
The market is open. Be ready for it.
